What happens
Perhosen uni on Maunu Kurkvaaran ohjaama elokuva vuodelta 1986. Elokuvassa Kurkvaara käytti kuvamateriaalia Huippuvuorilla kesällä 1955 kuvaamastaan keskeneräiseksi jääneestä elokuvasta, jonka työniminä olivat Arktinen rakkaus ja Kylmien rantojen maa. Elokuvasta olisi tullut Suomen ensimmäinen värillinen kokoillan näytelmäelokuva, mutta hanke kaatui Kurkvaaran ulkomaisen yhteistyökumppanin tehtyä konkurssin. Kuvattu materiaali jäi kuitenkin Kurkvaaran haltuun, ja 1980-luvulla hän alkoi laatia käsikirjoitusta materiaalin ympärille. Kurkvaara maalasi itse elokuvan juoneen liittyvät taulut. Elokuvan nimi tuli kiinalaisen Ma Chih-yüenin runokokoelmasta Syysajatuksia. Kriitikot pitivät vanhan ja uuden kuvausmateriaalin yhdistämistä samassa elokuvassa kiehtovana ja jopa ainutlaatuisena. Elokuva oli näyttelijä Pehr-Olof Sirénin viimeinen roolityö. Elokuva sai teattereissa vain 157 katsojaa. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
