Petos on suomalainen rikoselokuva vuodelta 1988. Kyseessä oli Taavi Kassilan toinen täysipituinen elokuvaohjaus. Elokuva sijoittuu 1950-luvun alun Suomeen. Tositapahtumiin pohjautuvan elokuvan päähenkilö on viipurilaissyntyinen pankkirosvo ja vankikarkuri Hilarius Sorjonen, joka oli oman aikansa tunnetuimpia suomalaisia rikollisia. Elokuva lähtee käyntiin Helsingissä tehdystä suuresta postiryöstöstä, jonka jälkeen rikostoverit ajautuvat keskinäisten petosten kierteeseen. Elokuva perustuu Jussi Kylätaskun alun perin kuunnelmaksi vuonna 1974 ja sitten teatterinäytelmäksi 1985 tehtyyn tekstiin Hentomielinen Hilarius. Juice Leskinen teki elokuvan tunnussävelmän ”Hilarius Hentomielinen”. Rikosalan asiantuntijana elokuvan teossa käytettiin Volvo Markkasta.
