سالهای خاکستر فیلمی ملودرام به کارگردانی مهدی صبّاغزاده و نویسندگی هوشنگ یونسی، مهدی صبّاغزاده محصول سال ۱۳۶۷ است. فیلم به وضعیت گروهی از افراد در یک اجتماع کوچک در ایستگاه راهآهن دوآب (سوادکوه) در سال ۱۳۳۷ میپردازد: «بمانی» بر اثر مشکلات فرهنگی اقتصادی ایل مجبور میشود از مادرش جدا شود و برای خدمتکاری، به دست پاسبان یک ایستگاه راهآهن که با همسرش زندگی میکند، سپرده میشود. حضور دخترک در ایستگاه فرصتی به وجود میآورد تا زندگی افراد مختلف تحت بررسی قرارگیرد. هرکس کمبودهای خود را در وجود این دختر میبیند. تلاش آنها برای به دست آوردن این دختر بینتیجه میماند. در پایان دخترک در میان کشمکش و خواستهای مردم ایستگاه، درگیر سرنوشتی میشود که انتظار آن نمیرود.
