How it feels
An Israeli security agent assassinates the foreign minister during a peace announcement. He then frames a Palestinian student for the murder, using a planned attack on the US secretary of state as cover. The story unfolds through flashbacks across Berlin and Jerusalem.

רחובות האתמול הוא סרט קולנוע ישראלי-בריטי דובר אנגלית משנת 1989 בבימויו של יהודה ג'אד נאמן, עם פול מקגאן, אלון אבוטבול וג'ון פינץ' בתפקידים הראשיים. הסרט הופק בשיתוף ערוץ 4 הבריטי בתקציב של כמיליון דולר. הוא צולם בברלין ובירושלים והשחקנים הם ישראלים, בריטים וגרמנים. העלילה היא על קבוצת טרוריסטים פלסטינים וקבוצה של קיצונים בתוך הממסד הישראלי ובהם איש שב"כ. איש השב"כ רוצח את שר החוץ הישראלי במסיבת עיתונאים שבה השר מבשר על פתיחת שיחות שלום עם אש"ף והנהגת הפלסטינים. המתנקש מנצל את העובדה שקבוצת טרוריסטים פלסטינים מתכננת לרצוח את מזכיר המדינה האמריקני במטרה לסכל את השיחות, ומנסה להפליל ברצח סטודנט פלסטיני שמעורב בהתנקשות. העלילה מתוארת בצורת פלשבקים. בתחילת הסרט מופיע המשפט "אדם יכול לבגוד רק במצפונו" של ג'וזף קונרד.
