How it feels

The Village of Widows (originaltittel: Gua fu cun) er en kinesisk dramafilm fra 1989 regissert av Wang Jin. Handlingen er lagt til slutten av 1940-årene i en kinesisk fiskerlandsby som nesten utelukkende består av kvinner. Mesteparten av mennene i landsbyen omkom under en storm på sjøen. Alle venter i uro på de endringene de står overfor etter at kommunistregimet har tatt makten i landet, og hvordan de nye myndighetene vil reagere på de særegne og tildels barbariske skikkene som har etablert seg i det lille samfunnet. De ledende rollene spilles av Liang Yujin, Tao Zeru og Yu Li. Den ble kåret til beste film ved Hundred Flowers Awards (delt med The Republic Will Never Forget og Chun Tao).
