אזרח אמריקאי הוא סרט קולנוע ישראלי עלילתי, שיצא לאקרנים בשנת 1992. את הסרט ביים איתן גרין, על פי תסריט שלו. הסרט מספר על כדורסלן זר אמריקאי (מייקל) פצוע, שמגיע בשלהי הקריירה למכבי אשדוד שנמצאת בליגה השנייה. וכתב ספורט בן העיר (יואל), "משוגע" לכדורסל, שאינו מפריד בין חובת הדיווח לבין אהדתו לקבוצת הכדורסל המקומית, ולשחקנה האמריקאי. ולמרות הרקע השונה שלהם הם מתיידדים. האמריקאי לומד להכיר את עקלקלותה של פוליטיקת הספורט המקומית בישראל וידידו העיתונאי נסחף לשעה קלה לאשליית הנגיעה באמריקה האמיתית. יואל מוזמן לנהל את הקבוצה ומבין שאין הוא יכול להיות כל מה שהוא רוצה. במקביל לניפוץ חלומות העלייה של הקבוצה והקרע שנוצר בין השחקן להנהלה, העיתונות והקהל המקומי. הסרט מהווה חלון ראווה לחוליים רבים של הענף ולחיי הבדידות שמציע הכדורסל המקצועני לנוודים האמריקאים.
