Der Film wurde vom Schweizer Fernsehen unter der Regie von Bruno Kaspar produziert und ist die dritte Folge des Schweizer Fernsehens überhaupt. Es handelt sich um Tatortfolge 264 und sie wurde am 11. Oktober 1992 erstmals ausgestrahlt. Reto Carlucci (Andrea Zogg) klärt den Mord an einem Kindermädchen auf und kommt dabei einem internationalen Chemiewaffenhandel auf die Spur.
