The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens

The Getaway is a 1994 American action thriller film directed by Roger Donaldson, and starring Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger, Michael Madsen, James Woods and Jennifer Tilly. It is a remake of Sam Peckinpah's 1972 film, in turn based on the 1958 novel written by Jim Thompson. The screenplay was written by Walter Hill (who also wrote the 1972 film) and Amy Holden Jones. The film was released by Universal Pictures on February 11, 1994. It received generally poor reviews and flopped at the box office, but later enjoyed lucrative success in the home video market.
