A metade da vida é unha película galega dirixida por Raúl Veiga no ano 1994 e revisada en 2005. A versión definitiva do filme é de 2019, estreada no XXV Festival Internacional de Cine de Ourense, e a súa duración é 78 minutos. Hai unha parte que reelabora o conto Boas noites, Eire de Xosé Luís Méndez Ferrín, despois Raúl Veiga construíu o resto do guión ao seu xeito, estre drama de 87 minutos de duración (84 tras a revisión de 2005) rodouse na Coruña, Oleiros e Culleredo e a súa estrea tivo lugar o 24 de outubro de 1994. É a única longametraxe filmada en versión orixinal galega durante ese decenio. En 2020 no OUFF estréase a versión remasterizada da película. É unha peza restaurada e reeditada, con mudanzas na montaxe respecto da versión orixinal pensando «no beneficio do espectador, agora é unha experiencia máis agradable froito dos anos de experiencia que fun acumulando. A esencia do filme é a mesma, non se desnaturalizou en absoluto, mellorou», segundo Raúl Veiga. A imaxe foi restaurada totalmente e o son «é moito máis amable co público».
