Jean Marais par Jean Marais est un documentaire réalisé par Jean-Christophe Rosé et Carole Weisweller, sorti en 1995. Jean Marais fut l'interprète de personnages créés par Jean Cocteau (Les Parents terribles, L'Aigle à deux têtes, Orphée, La Belle et la Bête) et le héros de films de cape et d´épée. Il est filmé chez lui en 1993, au cours d'un entretien avec Carole Weisweiller. Accompagné d'images d'archives et d'extraits de films ou de pièces de théâtre, il évoque sa mère La relation mère-fils complexe, passionnée et intense, laissant croire à son fils que son vrai père était son oncle : Carole Weisweiller et Patrick Renaudot, Jean Marais, le bien-aimé, Éditions de La Maule, 2013, page 19., son enfance, ses premières influences cinématographiques, ses débuts au théâtre, ceux qui l'ont marqué (Charles Dullin, Jean Cocteau, Yvonne de Bray), la Seconde Guerre mondiale, et son parcours artistique.
