What happens

Bogus is a 1996 American urban fantasy comedy-drama film directed by Norman Jewison from a screenplay written by Alvin Sargent, and starring Whoopi Goldberg, Gérard Depardieu, and Haley Joel Osment. An African-American restaurant supply manager (Goldberg), must become the foster mother of an orphan Caucasian boy (Osment), after the death of his mother, who she was childhood friends with. In the meantime, they both see and hear an imaginary man named "Bogus" (Depardieu), in which he helps their new relationship. It was filmed in Canada and New Jersey. The film was a box-office bomb.
