Sa première diffusion a lieu le 12 mars 1996 sur RTL. L'intrigue suit l'enquête de deux inspecteurs de la brigade autoroutière de Berlin, Frank Nolte (Johannes Brandrup) et Hugo Fischer (Rainer Strecker), sur une série d'attentats commis par un maître chanteur, connu sous le pseudonyme de Rascar Capac.
