How it feels
This film uses flashbacks to show how a 22-year-old Czech Romani man ended up in prison. He grew up with an alcoholic father and a neglectful mother, then suffered in a government orphanage where he was labeled a problem child. A brief bond with a kind teacher gave him hope, but after being punished he stabbed her. Released from juvenile reformatory, he experiences love for the first time but cannot handle it, and his past cruelty seems to doom him to a life of crime.
