How it feels
In 1964, a village in Galilee is under Israeli military rule. The local Mukhtar collaborates with the authorities while someone forges work permits. The Mukhtar's son and a metalsmith named Mahmud both want to marry the same woman. When the village teacher is arrested for the forgeries, conflicts escalate and lead to tragedy.
