எங்கோ தொலைவில் கனேடிய தமிழ் கலைஞர் கழகத்தினரால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு, 1998 ஆம் ஆண்டில் வெளிவந்த திரைப்படம். வீரகேசரி பத்திரிகையில் வெளிவந்த, கே. எஸ். பாலச்சந்திரனின் "எங்கோ தொலைவில்" என்ற சிறுகதை மேடைநாடகமாக்கப்பட்டு வின்னிபெக், சஸ்கட்டூன், வன்கூவர் நகரங்களிலும், ரொரன்ரோவில் உலக பண்பாட்டு மகாநாட்டிலும் மேடையேறியது. அந்த நாடகமே பின்னர் திரைப்படமாகியது. இந்த திரைப்படத்தில் எஸ். ரீ. செந்தில்நாதன், எஸ். மதிவாசன், துஷி ஞானப்பிரகாசம், மேகலா, சுப்புலட்சுமி காசிநாதன், எஸ். ஆர். காசிநாதன் முதலானோர் நடித்திருந்தனர். இரட்டைப்பாதை சேகர் எழுதிய பாடலுக்கு, தாரணி மதிவாசன் இசையமைக்க, சித்திரா பீலிக்ஸ் பாடியிருந்தார். எம். ஜெயக்குமார் (கண்ணன்) படப்பிடிப்பு, படத்தொகுப்பு இரண்டினையும் செய்தார்.
