《기막힌 사내들》은 1998년에 개봉한 대한민국의 영화이며 장진 감독이 해당 작품을 통해 영화감독 데뷔를 했고 장 감독은 시나리오를 쓰다가 김종학 드라마 PD의 영화 데뷔작이 될 뻔한 《쿠데타》 조감독으로 일할 예정이었지만 《쿠데타》 제작이 무산되자 열흘 만에 해당 영화의 시나리오를 써 김종학 PD에게 보여줬으며 결국 이 영화가 장진 감독의 액션영화 데뷔작이 됐다. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
