How it feels

This documentary follows Cecilie, a six year old girl with physical and mental disabilities caused by her birth mother's drug and alcohol use. She lives with a foster family and the film shows her daily life with them and at kindergarten where she is happy and doing well.

Cecilies verden er en dansk dokumentarfilm fra 1998, der er instrueret af Anja Dalhoff. Cecilie er en pige på seks år, der fra fødslen er fysisk og mentalt skadet på grund af moderens stof- og alkoholmisbrug. Cecilies biologiske mor begik selvmord umiddelbart efter fødslen, og Cecilie har, siden hun var halvandet år, boet hos en plejefamilie.
