Der irisch-US-amerikanische Schauspieler Patrick McGoohan, der zum vierten Mal in der Reihe auch Regie führte, verkörpert als Bestattungsunternehmer Eric Prince den Gegenspieler von Inspektor Columbo, dargestellt von Peter Falk.
