Two boys in Bobo-Dioulasso build a cardboard movie projector. When they screen a film for friends, a magical white horse escapes from the screen and comes to life. The horse causes commotion in the school and town, but nobody can catch it.

Souko (Le cinématographe en carton) est un moyen métrage burkinabè de fiction réalisé par Issiaka Konaté en 1998. Alpha et Amadou, deux jeunes garçons passionnés par le cinéma et par les chevaux, fabriquent un cinématographe en carton. Lors d’une séance de projection avec leurs amis dans la petite ville de Bobo-Dioulasso, un cheval blanc magique projeté sur un drap s’échappe de l’écran et prend vie. Ce phénomène mêle rêve et réalité, provoquant une agitation dans leur école puis dans toute la ville.
