How it feels

Every year 4,000 Danish children lose a parent, but most schools have no plans for handling death in a family. This documentary follows a teenager support group in Aalborg where a therapist helps young people like 12-year-old Marie and 17-year-old Gitte talk about losing their mothers. The film shows their conversations about grief and offers advice on how to approach the difficult subject.

What happens

I gruppen sidder Jes Dige, terapeut i Kræftens Bekæmpelse. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
