The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens

Tulikaste on Suomen Puolustusvoimien Koulutuksen Kehittämiskeskuksen tuottama koulutuksellinen näytelmäelokuva vuodelta 2000. Se käsitteli suomalaissotilaan stressinkestoa asemasotavaiheessa. Elokuvassa esiintyivät ammattinäyttelijät fiktiivisessä sotaelokuvassa simuloiden suomalaisia pääasiallisia luonnetyyppejä. Tavalliselle katsojalle teos näyttäytyy tavanomaisena sotaelokuvana, mutta Puolustusvoimat käyttää elokuvaa kouluttaessaan joukkojaan. Elokuvaa kuvattiin pääasiallisesti Kajaanin Vuosangassa kevään 2000 aikana. Rooleissa esiintyivät muun muassa Sami Kojonen, Ari Myllyselkä, Jukka-Pekka Löhönen, Kimmo Virtanen ja Akseli Pesä. Ohjauksesta vastasi Irma Nyberg ja pääkuvaajana toimi Ari Ahonen. Elokuva voitti parhaan teoksen Grand Prix -palkinnon vuonna 2000 Rassegua Cinematografica Internazionale Eserciti e Popoli -festivaaleilla. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
