The movie features Kelly Clarkson, the winner of the first season of American Idol, and Justin Guarini, the runner-up. A critical and commercial failure, the film received the Golden Raspberry Award for "Worst 'Musical' of Our First 25 Years" in 2005. It has gained a reputation as one of the worst movies ever made.
