A Danish documentary filmmaker moves to Brooklyn. A murder sets off a search for information about it. The police and local residents are uncooperative. A former gang member, a snitch, and an optimistic kebab seller offer a present-day and historical portrait of the criminal environment. The filmmaker eventually becomes pushy with the police, who finally release details about the murder.

Et mord bliver startskuddet til en film om ghettoen og jagten på oplysninger om mordet. Politiet og de lokale beboere er afvisende. Et x-bandemedlem, en stikker og en optimistisk kebab-sælger giver et nutidigt og historisk portræt af det kriminelle miljø.
