How it feels

A woman is kidnapped from her home and manages to reach a stranger on a broken cell phone. The stranger must keep the call going to help the woman while realizing the kidnappers are corrupt cops.

What happens

Cellular is a 2004 American action thriller film directed by David R. Ellis. The film stars Kim Basinger, Chris Evans, Jason Statham, William H. Macy with Noah Emmerich, Richard Burgi, Valerie Cruz and Jessica Biel. The screenplay was written by Chris Morgan, based on a story by Larry Cohen. The film follows a female science teacher who is kidnapped by home invaders, but manages to randomly phone a young man and call for help. The man must maintain the call for the long time, before realizing that the kidnappers are dirty cops, working for the Los Angeles Police Department. The film then follows a struggle for survival between several desperate characters. The film was released on September 10, 2004. It received mixed reviews from critics and grossed $57 million.
