Il film, con protagonisti Luciana Littizzetto, Dino Abbrescia, Fabio Troiano, Neri Marcorè e Francesca Vettori, è ispirato molto liberamente (tant'è che viene anche cambiato il nome della professoressa protagonista) al romanzo La collega tatuata di Margherita Oggero, pubblicato nel 2002.
