How it feels
On the eve of World War I, a young doctor gives his heart to two women who betray him. He is injured in the war and falls in love with a Polish countess who saves him, but she dies in childbirth and the baby is not his. His father also steals credit for a medical discovery, yet he finds strength to keep fighting for happiness.
