Anlässlich neuer Todeszahlen, die aus Wechsel- und Nebenwirkungen handelsüblicher Medikamente resultieren, ermittelt der Film anhand der interviewten Angehörigen und Betroffenen – ergänzt durch Interviews mit verschreibenden und kritischen Ärzten, sonstigen Kritikern und Pharmavertretern – die Hintergründe eines perfiden Systems. Subtile industrielle Einflussnahme und Bestechung, Überforderung und auch Vertuschung seitens behandelnder Ärzte münden in beispielhaft dokumentierten Fällen schwerster gesundheitlicher Schädigung oder Tod, die in keiner Statistik dokumentiert werden.
