The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

This film weaves together footage shot by four different directors over a six month period to create a portrait of Zurich, Switzerland. It shows the city's economic and cultural diversity against a backdrop of increasing political polarization in the early 2000s.

What happens

Bye Bye «Downtown Switzerland». Tages-Anzeiger, 15. Juli 2011. Mitwirkende sind damals bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie der Zürcher Stadtpräsident Elmar Ledergerber von der SP, der SVP-Nationalrat Christoph Mörgeli, Thomas Held vom Thinktank Avenir Suisse, der Soziologe Kurt Imhof der Universität Zürich, Coach und Spieler des African Football Club in Zürich, der Künstler Urs Lehmann (biopop.), Maya Möckli als Mitarbeiterin der Asyl-Organisation Zürich, und viele andere.vgl.
