Aegis (亡国のイージス, Bōkoku no iijisu) est un film japonais de Junji Sakamoto sorti en 2005. Le scénario est adapté du roman du même titre écrit par Harutoshi Fukui. Le titre japonais original peut littéralement se traduire par « Égide d'un pays en ruine ». Le film tire son nom du système de combat Aegis avec lequel le navire de la JMSDF est équipé. « Aegis » doit également son nom à une source plus antérieure; dans la mythologie grecque, l'égide est une arme, interprétée soit comme un bouclier soit comme une peau d'animal, qui est utilisée à différents moments dans l'Iliade par les dieux Zeus et Athéna. Œuvre centrée sur les questions de défense nationale, Aegis a été récompensée en 2000 par trois distinctions majeures : le prix de l'Association des écrivains de mystère japonais, le grand prix de l'Association japonaise du roman d'aventure et le prix Ōyabu Haruhiko. Le roman a ensuite été adapté en film en 2005, ainsi qu'en manga dans le magazine Morning, et a également donné lieu à un jeu vidéo sur PlayStation 2 intitulé Aegis of the Lost Nation 2035: Warship Gunner; En 2006, le tirage total dépassait 1,1 million d'exemplaires.
