How it feels

After her brother dies, a young orphan girl is sent to a children's home. There she refuses to accept her loss and imagines a purgatory world where her brother fights to return to life. Each night she tells pieces of this story to the night watchman, who becomes her only friend.

Solopgang er en dansk kortfilm fra 2005 instrueret af Nikolaj B. Feifer efter eget manuskript. Karen, en lille forældreløs pige, bliver anbragt på et børnehjem, da hendes bror dør. Men på børnehjemmet nægter hun at acceptere sit tab, og begynder i stedet at fantasere om en skærsildsverden, hvor broderen befinder sig og kæmper sig tilbage mod livet.
