The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

This documentary is part of an anthology about language worldwide. It looks at how violence, dying languages, minority groups, young people, and new speech are affected by globalization.

What happens

I sproget er jeg er en film instrueret af Janus Billeskov Jansen, Signe Byrge Sørensen. »Voices of the World« er en antologi med to dokumentarfilm om sprogets betydning for folk i hele verden. Vi tænker, vi taler vi skriver. Uden sprog ville vi ikke være mennesker. Af verdens 6500 sprog vil halvdelen forsvinde. Filmen diskuterer verdens sproglige mangfoldighed. Der er voldens sprog, det døende sprog, minoriteternes sprog, de unges sprog og de nye sprog. Hvad gør globaliseringen ved sprog? (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
