The Little Matchgirl is a 2006 animated short drama film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed by Roger Allers. The film is based on the 1845 fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. It is the fifth Disney adaptation of an Andersen tale.
