Petali di rosa è un film del 2007 scritto e diretto da Maximo De Marco. Il film narra la storia di suor Rosa Roccuzzo (1882-1956), ispiratrice della congregazione delle Suore orsoline della Sacra Famiglia. La pellicola è ambientata nella Sicilia di fine Ottocento e inizi del Novecento, nel paese di Monterosso Almo, nella Sicilia sud-orientale. Rosa, dopo aver perso la madre da bambina, trasforma il proprio dolore in amore incondizionato per tutte le persone povere e sofferenti, in un contesto storico caratterizzato da grande miseria e povertà.
