How it feels
This documentary follows a group of mostly German senior tourists on a 14-day river cruise from Moscow to St. Petersburg. They visit churches, villages, and souvenir stands, and participate in organized activities like singing and gymnastics. The film focuses on several passengers with contrasting attitudes: Renate misses Soviet Russia, Peter is grumpy and reluctant, and Ellen is romantically interested in Peter. A medical evacuation by helicopter interrupts the trip, but the landscape and solitude eventually affect Peter's outlook.
