Film dokumentuje fragmentarycznie a zarazem kluczowo początki i rozwój muzyki hardrockowej i szeroko rozumianej muzyki heavymetalowej w Polsce. Początki te sięgają wczesnych lat 70. XX wieku (w okresie świetności grupy Test) do czasów współczesnych. Pokaz premierowy filmu miał miejsce na Przystanku Woodstock w 2009 roku, był też emitowany w Discovery Historia.
