Zum einen stellt die Hauptfigur, Kriminalhauptkommissar Cenk Batu, erstmals einen verdeckten Ermittler als Tatort-Kommissar vor, was das bisherige Whodunit-Konzept der Reihe für eine gesamte Staffel aufbricht.
