Etelä-Intian Thali on dokumenttielokuva, joka kertoo Etelä-Intiassa sijaitsevasta Keralan osavaltion arjen värikkäästä elämänmenosta. Dokumentin erikoisuutena on rinnastaa perinteisen eteläintialaisen monta ruokalajia sisältävän thali-annoksen eri makuelämykset Keralan osavaltiossa koettuihin elämyksiin, ikään kuin Keralan elämän "makuihin". Thali-ruokalajissa tarjoillaan 6–7 hyvin erimakuista kuppia, kuten myös dokumentissa on tunnelmiltaan eli "mauiltaan" selvästi hyvin erilaisia kohtauksia. Dokumentin kuvailemaan Keralan eksotiikkaan kuuluvat mm. uskonnolliset rituaalit, joiden vastakohtina ja erilaisina "elämänmakuina" ovat vaikkapa häiden hartaus tai poliittinen kiihko.
