The catalogue in 3D
The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.
How it feels
A short black-and-white film set during a summer weekend in Helsinki. The main character Eki works only to fund his partying. The movie has a cliched plot and amateur acting but is made with affection for the city.

What happens
Monte Rosso on Jon Sundellin ja Tuomas Milonoffin ohjaama lyhytelokuva vuodelta 2008. Elokuva on mustavalkoinen. Vahva slangidialogi on työryhmän käsialaa. Tekijöiden mukaan mustavalkoisuudella haluttiin välttää muodinmukaisuutta. Kritiikissä todetaan että mustavalkoisuus luo elokuvaan nostalgista tunnelmaa, mutta mustavalkoisuutta lukuun ottamatta elokuva on täysin nykyaikainen. Juonta pidetään kliseisenä, replikointia kökkönä, näyttelemistä amatöörimäisenä, mutta kritiikissä näitä seikkoja ei pidetä puutteena, sillä elokuva on kriitikon mukaan tehty tunteella Helsinkiä kohtaan. Pussikaljaelokuva nähdään sen henkiseksi sukulaiseksi. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
