How it feels
In a poor Yunnan village in the early 1980s, a lame farmer marries a mentally disabled woman named Cherry. She longs for a child and finds an abandoned baby girl in the woods. Years later, their daughter Scarlet copes with growing up under the intense love of her mentally handicapped mother.
