Jest zaliczany do kina katalońskiego, pomimo faktu, iż dialogi odgrywane są po hiszpańsku. Z Katalonii pochodzą jego twórcy, tam też zrealizowano całość zdjęć (Barcelona), zaś katalońska telewizja była jednym z podmiotów finansujących produkcję.
