How it feels

Ballast is a 2008 American drama film written, produced, edited, and directed by Lance Hammer. Starring Michael J. Smith Sr., Jim Myron Ross, Tarra Riggs and Johnny McPhail. The film premiered at the Dramatic section of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, where it won the awards for Best Director and Best Cinematography. It had its international premiere at the 58th Berlin International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear. The film received six nominations at the 24th Independent Spirit Awards.
