A produção é uma parceria do psicólogo Sílvio Iensen e do diretor Luiz Alberto Cassol, na disciplina Psicologia e Cinema, no Centro Universitário Franciscano (Unifra). Foi o primeiro documentário de longa-metragem produzido na cidade de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Em 2009, Em 2009, foi escolhido para ser exibido no Circuito Nacional Cineclubista 2010.
