What happens

Vaamanan is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by I. Ahmed, and produced by Dream Valley Corporation. The film stars Jai, Rahman, Priya Anand, Lakshmi Rai, and Santhanam, while Urvashi, Sampath Raj, and Thalaivasal Vijay play supporting roles. It revolves around a man who comes to Chennai to pursue an acting career, but instead becomes embroiled in a political conspiracy. Vaamanan is the directorial debut of Ahmed, and also marks Priya Anand's acting debut. The score and soundtrack were by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography was handled by Arvind Krishna and editing by S. Surajkavee. The film was released on 10 July 2009.
