A young boy named Moussa is left for dead by child traffickers and rescued by a healer named Lamine. He grows up with Lamine's daughter Tene, whom he marries despite family opposition, but later schemes to kill her for another woman and her inheritance.

What happens
Somzita est un film burkinabè réalisé par Boubacar Sidnaba Zida, sorti en 2011. Moussa, un jeune garçon est laissé pour mort par des trafiquants d'enfants. Il est recueilli par Lamine, un guérisseur. Moussa grandi avec la fille de Lamine, Téné. Lamine propose de marier les deux jeunes malgré l'opposition des autres membres de sa famille. Le mariage aura lieu et les deux amoureux mèneront une vie heureuse. Tout se complique lorsque Moussa tombe amoureux de Assita et mijote un plan pour assassiner sa femme. Mais il sera envoyé en prison. Téné hérite de la fortune de son père. Moussa sort de prison et séduit encore Téné qui lui pardonne et se met de nouveau en couple avec lui.
