Seres: Génesis es una película mexicana de ciencia ficción, dirigida por el director de cine regiomontano Ángel Mario Huerta y producida por la compañía Huma Films. Los ingredientes de este filme son: Profecías mayas del rey Pakal, platillos voladores, misticismo, arqueólogos en acción, cazadores de ovnis y efectos especiales; terminó de rodarse el pasado 23 de diciembre de 2007. Con una inversión de dos millones de dólares y un reparto encabezado por Gonzalo Vega, Manuel Balbi, Alejandra Barros, Arturo Delgado, Liz Gallardo, Humberto Busto, entre otros, el filme se rodó en locaciones de Monterrey, con una tecnología única en Hispanoamérica –una cámara Red One con alta resolución--, que apenas comienza a ser explorada para las grandes producciones de Hollywood. Se estrenó en México el 23 de septiembre de 2010. La fotografía de Seres: Génesis está a cargo de Alejandro Cantú; edición, Gabriel Ramos; diseño de producción, Enrique Echeverría; y música, Porcelana y Marcelo Treviño.
