The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens

Afinidades (English: Affinities) is the debut feature film co-directed by Cuban director-actors Jorge Perugorría and Vladimir Cruz. They also both play the main roles in the film, a psychological drama. Cruz was also the screenwriter of the film, which is an adaptation of the Reynaldo Montero novel Música de cámara (chamber music). Afinidades was mostly filmed in Guamá, in Cuba's Ciénaga de Zapata region, with some parts shot in a studio built in Santa Fe, Havana. It premiered on 4 December 2010 at the Festival internacional de cine de La Habana. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
