Jane Eyre is a 2011 romantic gothic drama film directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and written by Moira Buffini based on Charlotte Brontë's 1847 novel of the same name, starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender. The film was released on 11 March 2011 in the United States and 9 September in Great Britain and Ireland. It received positive reviews from critics.
