Thadaiyara Thaakka (transl. Breaking all Barriers) is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film stars Arun Vijay and Mamta Mohandas, with Rakul Preet Singh, Maha Gandhi and Vamsi Krishna in supporting roles. The title is derived from the devotional song Kanda Shasti Kavasam. Thadaiyara Thaakka was released theatrically on 1 June 2012, and received positive critical reviews but underperformed at the box office, which Magizh attributed to the low-key promotions and publicity. The film slowly gained praise from viewers after the end of its theatrical run. During an interview for Yennai Arindhaal (2015), Arun called it as the best film in his career to that point.
