The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

A successful Finnish writer begins work on a ninth novel about a Croatian bus mechanic who is accused of war crimes years after living a clean life. The writer wrestles with questions about guilt, redemption, and whether he can write a story that truly matters.

What happens

Miesten välisiä keskusteluja on vuonna 2013 julkaistu Jarmo Lampelan ohjaama elokuva. Kirjailija Kari Mairisaarella on takanaan kahdeksan romaania ja niiden tuoma menestys. Mairisaari on ruoskinut kirjoissaan poliittista eliittiä, julkkiksia ja kulttuurivaikuttajia, mutta yhdeksäs romaani, satiiri Perussuomalaisista, jää häneltä kesken. Soinin ja Halla-ahon piiskaamisen sijaan Mairisaari alkaa työstämään kirjaa Vlatkosta. Vlatko on kroatialaistautainen 36-vuotias bussimekaanikko, joka eräänä päivänä haetaan Olarin varikolta vastaaman sotarikossyytteisiin. Mairisaarta mietityttää kaksi kysymysta: Eikö 15 vuotta nuhteetonta elämää hyvitä mitään? Mitä toiselta hengen ottanut nuorukainen tuntee teon jälkeen? Yhdeksännen romaanin kirjoittamisesta muodostuu suuri haaste Mairisaarelle.
