Neighboring Sounds (Portuguese: O Som ao Redor) is a 2012 Brazilian drama film directed and written by Kleber Mendonça Filho, starring Irandhir Santos, Gustavo Jahn and Maeve Jinkings. The film was screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and was released nationally on January 4, 2013. It was selected as the Brazilian submission for best foreign language film at the 86th Academy Awards, but was not nominated. New York Times film critic A. O.
